For Attorneys Only Mr. Swartz and his staff are focused on immediate problem resolution for attorneys representing criminal and civil clients:
CRIMINAL CASES:
During the last twenty years, Mr. Swartz has conducted criminal examinations on virtually every type of Federal and state crime. When evidence is questionable, when victims and witnesses give conflicting statements, or when there is no other way to find out what happened, polygraph testing is an appropriate adjunct tool that provides you with immediate results. Mr. Swartz is a frequent expert witness in front of Grand Juries.
CIVIL CASES:
Increasingly, attorneys representing civil clients are turning to polygraph testing to verify witness, plaintiff and defendant statements. For example, Mr. Swartz recently examined three police officers being sued in a United States District Court for Federal Civil Rights violations involving the shooting death of a criminal suspect.
The examinations were requested by the plaintiffs' attorneys when their clients gave depositions that directly conflicted with those given by the officers.
Mr. Swartz examined all of the officers and all were found to be truthful. As a result, the plaintiffs withdrew their case, saving the city millions of dollars in potential damages had the case gone forward.
If you represent clients in civil actions, consider the use of the polygraph when conflicts like this occur. Mr. Swartz is always available to provide expert witness testimony in conjunction with any exam he or his staff administers. IMMIGRATION/ASYLUM CASES: In asylum cases, is the asylee telling the truth? Does he or she face torture, repression, or death if returned to the country of origin? Polygraph testing can verify the asylee's statements and help the asylum officer and/or Immigration Judge to make a valid determination about that person's future. It may even save the asylee's life.
